Cliffy, Bailey's donor, originally was suppose to go to Bellingham Monday evening for his last of three tumor vaccine injections. Unfortunately, the snowstorm in W. Washington made that impossible. Luckily we got him up there the next day--we only skidded on the icy freeway a few times. Timing of the vaccine injections is very important! Both dogs will go to Bellingham, WA on Dec. 6th and the donor lymphocyte infusion will take place form Cliffy to Bailey the next day. We are so hoping that this procedure will kill any cancer cells in Bailey by stimulating some Graft Verses Host Disease to occur. The dogs will not need to stay more than a couple days, and then sadly we will take Cliffy back to his home in Richland, WA. Cliffy has become a member of our family.

Bailey's Thanksgiving

Since Bailey's relapse and first round of chemo, which proved unsuccessful, she has been given a different chemo drug. This new drug seems to be working and Bailey's appetite has returned. Bailey spent her Thanksgiving with her family, including her donor brother Cliffy. Bailey and Cliffy were part of the clean plate club for their Thanksgiving meal. They helped clean up the dishes by being the prewash. Bailey is thankful for her people family, her brother Cliffy, and of course Dr. Sullivan (her veterinarian).
